Which of the following novels is the most relevant to our situation in the USA?
Literature is often used to express the concerns or angst of a given age or time. So, I ask you, which of the following is most relevant to our given age in the United States today? 1984 by George Orwell Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein V for Vendetta by Alan Moore and illustrated by David Lloyd Little Brother by Cory Doctorow

- you are seriously off your rocker. get some psychiatric help.
- Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
- A little bit of Rand, Heinlein, and V for Vendetta. Of course, the books that REALLY cover it all aren't novels - they are "The Communist Manifesto," where it describes how liberals and fake "socialists" try to defend a declining capitalism, and Lenin's "Imperialism: the highest stage of Capitalism."
- 1984 and Atlas Shrugged were mandatory policy reading sources in the Bush administration.
- Right now it is more like 1984.But that will change and things will evolve into rebellion.Personally,I can't wait until we get to the Heinlein phase of The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress,or even better,Revolt In 2100.
- I would say that elements of all those novels are present in today's society.
