Are there garmin maps of usa and Japan for windows mobile?

Considering the amount of information that those maps contain, I highly doubt they exist yet, because it takes almost an entire dvd (around 4GB) and very few phones can handle that much information (memorywise, not memory card wise). Googles maps has applications for all mobile phones and in big cities in the US it can even show you traffic in real time, and it's free!
