How come Yahoo Maps is free in USA but not in UK?

I'd like to add my business to Yahoo maps (as I have with another well known search engine). It's like walking in treacle - keeps taking me to USA page where a basic listing is free. Go to Yahoo.co.uk and suddenly they want your money?

1. Don't know hun but there are plenty of alternatives. Google maps of course are free. Also you can get your business listed free in yellow pages (Online Only). Give it a go, better than paying for it. xx
2. I not sure why that is but in the UK they want money for everything.!!! I could not find anything on why it's a pay site, sorry.!!!
