Atlas of USA

When the left claims socialized medicine works abroad, do you suppose they know?

Anything about geography in the sense that alaska alone is bigger then sweden, norway, Most of europe combined, etc... ? How about texas in comparison? http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.united-states-map.org/world-atlas/images/world-atlas.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.united-states-map.org/world-atlas.htm&h=325&w=619&sz=39&tbnid=Fi8nkHUFsnL3yM:&tbnh=71&tbnw=136&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dworld%2Batlas&hl=en&usg=__wBL2JvMmuDfDmWcjw5PW-bMNhl8=&ei=Y3ngSsvLOpS4NpPhnMMI&sa=X&oi=image_result&resnum=4&ct=image&ved=0CBoQ9QEwAw And thats why canada comes here right? how about we compare populations also?

  1. Yes we know.
  2. Most don't. Some do. It matters little--they're all fine with the gubmint taking care of their every need. At our expense, of course.
  3. What does size have to do with it? Alaska has a lot of land, not a lot of people. Canada is a big country and they have it and it is successful, too. What's your point? Canada ranks ahead of us on the WHO scale of life expectancy so the argument that Canada's system doesn't work won't fly. Yes, some people do come here for health care, the wealthy who don't want to wait. Big deal.
  4. The Left does not allow the facts to get in the way of their political agenda.
  5. If they know they don't care, this is about a power grab
  6. I wonder how stupid they think we are? I am starting a new insurance company and want to know if you would like to sign up? You will pay me for 5 years before I start covering anything but my prices on the second 5 years will be a little cheaper than you pay now. Unfortunately in the second 10 years my prices will triple (because you are not paying the un-reimbursed 5 years again) Deal? No, then why are people so eager to let the government do that and claim it only costs 900 Billion (oh then there is the pesky additional 200 billion they cut out and placed into a separate bill)
  7. You do know that Canada is larger than the US geographically and still has socialized medicine?
  8. Thanks for the 3rd grade geography lesson. Now. Your point is?
  9. Bad example. Alaska has less than 1/10 the population of New York City. Geographical size is not the issue. The issue is health care for people.
  10. Silly. Switzerland's population is far far more dense than Alaska. Also, healthcare in Switzerland is fast, efficient and guaranteed. You really ought to go there and see how competent nations run things.
  11. Wow bigger yeah. How many people live in Alaska and Texas? Compared to say the whole of Europe Socialized medicine works perfectly. The NHS just saved my aunties life. America's ranked 37th in the world health organisations list of best healthcare, thats behind some third world countries.
  12. Why does size matter?
  13. So because our country is bigger than theirs, it won't work? That's a pretty poorly constructed argument on it's own.
  14. Your question makes absoultley no sense.
  15. Obama does not know your facts and does not care. He knows socialized medicine does not work in Europe Germany is working to de-socialize their medical care system because it is broken and the people are very unhappy. Obama does not care. Obama made so many promises to so many unions and left wing special interest groups he is going to deliver. Too bad he never had the opportunitiy to gain experience as a leader.
  16. A. who thinks the size of a nation matters? Population, maybe but size is just silly... B. what programs don't work on one area vs. another? do you have any examples to support your idea? It's a simple matter of person to doctor and person to gov. support worker ratio issue.
  17. I live in the UK. If they took away our socialized medicine it would spark a revolution.
