Liberals and Conservatives, is this a fine example of how people enter the world of politics?
One a young boy first learns politics, he starts off as a liberal, naive, uneducated and believes in fantasy ideal's like you can magically give healthcare to everyone without costs rising resulting in less people being able to get healthcare then beforehand. Then, the young boy goes to college and further tries to assert his liberal ideal's by citing Micheal Moore movies and using Rachel Maddow as his inspiration for college research papers. Then the young boy can go down two roads after college: Realize in the USA, he doesn't have to work to earn a living where he lives off the government and remains liberal Or, the young boy decides to get a job and become a hard worker earning a living, where he then becomes more experienced regarding the issues of taxes, economics, etc and becomes a conservative. Is this a great map on how people enter politics?

- One day a young boy first learns politcs. He turns on FoxNews, gets introduced to political pundits, and believes everything they say. He does not bother to see other viewpoints, look up further information, he just takes what he hears at face value and does not even consider the possibility that he is being misled. So he goes out and starts bashing liberals for whatever reason he can find. He does not bother to actually find out what a liberal is, or what socialism is, or what communism is. One day, he finds out that a conservative has done the exact same thing a liberal has done. Instead of calling the conservative out on it, he justifies it so that it can still fit in neatly with his extremely narrow view of the world.
- i didnt follow that map, sorry, i was smart from the beginning
- No, it's kind of a slanted map. Education has no impact of politics and how one thinks. For instance, I know many liberals that are educated and make a great living and I know conservatives that are educated and doing well. I also know liberals that are married to conservatives and are doing well. So, your theory has many holes. To add an extra hole, who would think too highly of the conservatives after the way their deficit spending tanked this country? I know if I was coming out of college with an economics degree, I wouldn't consider joining the conservative camp. If I wanted a party that believed in conservative values I would have to consider starting a new party because there were no conservatives in the Republican party since Ford.
